This article is in response to the article “Why Imran Khan should not win the elections” by Mr. Sarim Irfan. After reading the article I found out that the writer lacks the deep understanding of the current political scenario of Pakistan.
The whole article revolves around one thing “Imran khan should not win because he is the hope and his failure to get majority will shatter the dreams. Now that’s very interesting that you have hopes from someone and yet you don’t want that he should win. The writer admires the stance and support of Imran Khan but doesn’t want him to succeed because he has hopes from him and a fear factor also that he will not be able to get a clear majority and a weak alliance will form that will repeat “traditional political game”. I fail to understand this fear factor. It seems very ridiculous because it is just like saying that I will not drive a car because accident might happen. It’s a very wrong approach because a brave person always face the situation, never lose hope, works hard and ultimately achieves success that’s what Imran Khan is doing.
The writer admits that majority of Pakistan’s population consists of youth and the youth’s one and only choice is PTI and Imran Khan yet he fails to realize the fact that this huge population which is diehard supporter of Imran Khan and will definitely vote for him because they haven’t got any other choice which will ensure their bright future.
The writer explained the growing popularity of Imran Khan and PTI in urban centers of Pakistan but did not mention the tremendous support that Imran khan has got in rural areas of the country which not only include participation and joining of masses in rallies conducted by PTI in rural areas but also includes the joining of many political heavyweights with clean background who were hijacked by the corrupt internal party structures of the old parties. Particularly in Punjab, Imran Khan enjoys support of rural population its quite evident from the successful membership campaign which is in progress in both rural and urban population.
Imran Khan delivered in cricket and social work but for a country which is in complete mess these two are not enough. Social work cannot change the living conditions of millions of poor people who live a miserable life. Social work can never change the fate of entire nation because it’s on limited basis. Only a clean government consisting of talented and honest people can bring about a positive change in the lives of the common people. Politics determines structure of a country, for a better one, the ruling elite must not be corrupt and should have capabilities to deal with tough challenges in economic and other areas. Imran Khan definitely have the team which possess all these attributes.
Fortunately PTI has dedicated and honest and hard working people in its folds with a visionary leadership of Imran Khan. Imran Khan enjoys full support of masses of both rural and urban population of Pakistan. Imran Khan got this tremendous support of the masses because of the failures of the two ruling parties and that’s the reason why people turned towards Imran Khan and PTI. The support for Imran Khan has transformed to support for PTI and ultimately it will transform into votes and that’s the reason that it will easily clean sweep the next general elections Insha’Allah.
People have tried and tested both PPP and PMLN for years but both of these parties have failed to deliver and a gap has been created and to fill this gap PTI has stepped in with a clear vision and full support of the masses. The people of Pakistan are fed up of these corrupt politicians and now they have only two choices either to select PTI for a real change or support the old parties for complete destruction. After so much destruction that has happened to this country in the past 65 years because of the corrupt rulers, people of Pakistan now definitely want a real change and that’s why they will go to vote for PTI and Imran Khan will surely get a historical success in the general elections Insha’Allah. This success is inevitable and is definitely needed for the survival and prosperity of Pakistan and this will surely be achieved by a landsliding victory of PTI.
